Poppy has settled in nicely to her foster home. After several weeks of getting acclimated to noises, her alert barking lessened considerably and she's fairly quiet overall. Her favorite friend here is the cat! Sometimes she likes to pretend she is one by jumping up on the back of the couch or the cat tree. She loves kitty playtime but it may not go over well with cats who would like to be left alone.
Poppy loves going for walks! She wasn't too sure of snow initially but has adjusted and goes outside to do her business and even play a bit in it. She has been attending doggy daycare and getting good reports. She gets along with all the dogs there although prefers hanging out with others her size. She's been very friendly and made new human friends there as well.
After playtime or a walk she loves to settle in on her human's lap for some snuggle time, preferably underneath warm blankets. I think she'd be successful in a house or a quieter apartment setting. She seems to warm up to women or men equally and has done well with older children. She's really a delightful little dog who will make a great companion!
