Petey wakes up with his humans. He goes outside to play and goes potty once in the morning, once around 5, and one more quick time before bed. He's happy to nap for most of the day with a couple breaks to chew a favorite toy. He likes to sleep in the people bed but he doesn't mind being in the crate for the night either.
Petey loves to snuggle and follow his people around the house. He's always excited to meet new people. Petey has not lived with children in the foster home but he's been excited to meet children in public and he's been gentle with them.
Petey is very calm for a puppy his age. He loves to play if he's around other dogs but most of the time he's content to snuggle and nap. He walks very well on the leash. He walks behind or beside you and he likes to stop and smell all the flowers.
Petey has gotten along with the resident dogs in his foster home and all the dogs he's met outside the home. He takes a minute to warm up to new dogs but he loves to play. Petey has not had exposure to cats in our care.
Since Petey loves to explore and will chew things he finds, he will need to be watched in the home until he learns what he is and isn't allowed to chew on. As of now, he's crated when left alone. He does well being in a crate for a couple hours at a time.
Petey is a huge sweetheart who's ready to go to his forever home!
