Updates

Welcome to Wisconsin, Peach! She arrived from a southern state and felt snow for the first time a week ago. Peach's energy level ranges from medium to low depending the time of day and how much play time she has with the our resident dogs. She loves romping in the snow with the dogs, yet equally loves nap time. Speaking of which, we've given her the nickname of "the bear" because it seems she goes into hibernation mode and snores like a bear who's been sleeping for months.

Peach learned to sit and walk down/up an open staircase, which can be scary for dogs, within 10 minutes of bounding into our home. Our resident dogs have been good teachers for this little cutie.

Crate training has gone well. Peach sleeps throughout the night for the most part. She'll wake up occasionally in the very early morning hours and let the rest of the house know she up, but then settles back in for a couple of hours after a quick trip to the backyard. Peach wakes up between 5-6 every morning, goes outside, eats and then may fall back to sleep or plays with the dogs. We keep Peach crated when we're not around.

Peach has been around dogs her entire life and may do best with a canine buddy in the home. She is more of a "follower" than a "leader." She also wants to be by her humans when in the house. She hangs in the the kitchen when we're cooking, not to to beg (she's never done that), but to be social. She lays on the floor and watches or sleeps. A note: I have caught her counter surfing more than once.

Peach has not been around kids or cats.

As a world-class snuggler, Peach is that dog you want around after a tough day or when you're binge watching a show. She also snuggles with our dogs, often looking to be spooned by one of our dogs

Peach is simply that, a peach of a dog! Well behaved, beyond sweet, excellent sleepy noises, playful, curious and a quick study. Anyone will be lucky to have her as a life-long companion and friend. She will always look at you with love in her eyes.
