Oscar was born in foster care to his very houndy mother, Boots. He has spent the last few months learning and growing with his littermates and is now ready to start auditioning people to be his forever family. He is wrapping up some basic vetting and will be ready to join his new home on August 6th. Oscar was born 6th in a litter of ten and like most middle children, adaptability is a strong suit. He is a fairly laid-back guy that typically just goes with the flow. Oscar started as one of the smallest but has quickly chunked up and is now in the middle of the pack in terms of size. He has a very sweet and playful disposition.
Oscar is a very typical puppy and learning new things every day. He has been highly socialized with humans (both adults and kids), dogs and a cat. He loves to be outside as long as there is a shady spot to crash if it is too hot/sunny. We have started some leash training and Oscar needs a little bit of encouragement to get going but loves to check out all the cool things he encounters along the way. We have started some crate exposure and a potty schedule as well. He currently spends most of his days, playing and wrestling with his brothers and sisters and checking out what is new in the toy rotation. He is very playful and is always eager to approach new friends.
As a young pup, Oscar will need help adjusting to life away from his littermates. He will also need guidance with potty training and crate training. Like a typical puppy, he loves to chew on things (busy growing teeth) so he will need close supervision and basic obedience training. He is only able to go a few hours between potty breaks so will need an owner with flexibility in their schedules to accommodate that or that has someone willing to help out with potty breaks.
This little love will make a great addition to just about any family!
