Olivia is a Texas native, who spent some time with a foster in Oklahoma before making the exciting journey to Wisconsin to find her forever home.

Olivia is an energetic young dog who loves to play and run. She could spend hours running around our backyard, playing with other dogs. Olivia has lots of energy and is looking for humans that she can share that energy with but also loves to settle down inside and will happily chill on the couch for a lazy day as well. She loves walks, playtime with other dogs, and playing with toys as well as naps, snuggling, and just hanging out with her humans.

Olivia has started attending doggy daycare 2-3 days a week while her foster humans are at work and it has been great for letting her get out her wiggles while we are at work and then she is ready to come home and be a calm and happy dog. She has definitely settled in as a calm dog inside and knows when it's time to play outside.

Olivia sleeps in her crate at night and while we are not at the house. She sleeps in her crate every night from 11pm - 8am and is ready for breakfast and her first playtime of the day when she wakes up. When we are gone for the day she will crate for 8 hours as long as the crate is secure, she will happily let herself out of a wire crate to try to get closer to her humans.

Olivia is great with other dogs. She has been around dogs of all sizes and loves to play and wrestle. Her favorite activity is to get another dog to chase her while she runs laps of the yard. She can be a bit intimidating to small dogs with her large size, but she has played well with dogs of all sizes. Olivia loves playing with toys and doesn't mind sharing those toys with other dogs. She will happily play tug with her human and dog friends. Inside and outside Olivia is quiet and rarely barks.

Olivia is an incredibly smart dog and picks up on commands and what her humans want very quickly. She will also teach herself new tricks like opening a wire crate or running up between your legs. She would love a human that would continue this training and keep her body and mind active.

Olivia can be a bit shy when meeting new humans, but after a few minutes of those new humans ignoring her she will come up and start to sniff them and say hello and as soon as she learns that her new human friends are there to give her attention, she is ready to be best friends. She has done well with several large groups of new people coming into our house - and will just back off and check things out from afar before saying hello.

Olivia is fully potty trained and goes to the bathroom right away when we go outside.

Olivia is curious about cats, and will occasionally try to play with them, but she will stop when her humans ask her to.

Olivia has not been around kids in her foster home, but has met several kids while out and about and has been very gentle and kind.

Olivia happily eats her food quickly and is very food/treat motivated.. Giving her a treat or kong when she goes into her crate helps her settle down.

Olivia’s most recent vet visit labeled her as a Catahoula/Greyhound, but she has also been labeled as mixed breed, german shepard mix, great dane mix, and catahoula mix by different vets. She is a beautiful grey brindle and definitely a mix of some beautiful breeds.
