Oliver sleeps in his crate until his foster family gets up. He goes outside then is excited about and ready for breakfast. The rest of his day includes a mix of hanging out in his crate, playing with toys, taking walks, and playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He knows when it's dinner time,

Oliver is a bit of a nervous guy, so he needs slow introductions to new people and new situations. Once he's warmed up to you, he will wag his little tail until it's practically a propeller and may even start bouncing. :) Because children can be loud and unpredictable, we suspect they may add uncertainty to Oliver's life and young children may not be the best fit for him.

He's a pretty laid-back guy as far as energy levels go. He enjoys his walks, his naps, and entertaining himself with toys. He plays with the other dogs in his foster home for short periods of time as well.

Currently, Oliver lives as a member of a small pack of playful, high-energy dogs, and this is a pretty overwhelming environment for him. We get the impression Oliver hasn't interacted much with other dogs in his life thus far. He does okay playing with another dog one-on-one, but more than two playmates and Oliver doesn't quite know what to do. Things like dog parks and doggy daycare also aren't his cup of tea, but this is okay with him! When it comes to living with other dogs, he'd really prefer to be an only dog, however would be okay with a low-key dog like himself -- enjoys a little one-on-one playtime, but then hanging out and doing their own thing. Oliver loves his toys and hasn't quite figured out there are plenty to share, so toy playtime is limited to individual time or while in his crate. Oliver does not have cats in his foster home.

He finds his crate to be his safe space, so he's crated when he's home alone. We also use his crate when he needs a break from the high energy of his foster home. He spends his alone time catching up on his beauty sleep or entertaining himself with toys and bones.

Oliver is looking for someone committed to helping him continue to build his self-confidence. He often becomes uncertain, especially in new situations, and needs someone he can rely on to advocate for him; reassuring him everything is just fine. In return, he will reward you with lots of tail wags and prancing when he's chosen you as his people.
