Updates
Nelly goes outside for her business when she gets up in the morning. Back inside and she will sit and wait for her treat. She then will either go back to sleep or she starts to play with the other dogs. She lets me know if she needs to go out during the day. She is mellow most of the day. She runs a lot in our backyard with our other dogs - so I think she has some residual energy. Nelly is ready for bed around 7:30 pm and she will snuggle us in bed or she goes into her crate to sleep. Nelly is crated when we are leaving the house. She is still a puppy and needs to be secure and not able to get into something that she is not supposed to.
Nelly would enjoy daily runs. She likes to walk on the leash or run in the yard.
She is good with our 3 dogs in the house. She prefers the attention, so I think she may do best as an only dog. She is friendly with other dogs that she meets unless they are boisterous and loud - then she is not interested in being friends with them. Nelly has not had any exposure to cats in our care.
Nelly has been socialized at mountain biking events (>1000 people in attendance); she has been camping with us in our camper at an RV camping resort. She has been wonderful for people to come up to her for attention. We had her on a tie out of sorts at the camper over the trailer steps and she would chew on her toys, play with the other dogs, lay in the sunshine and walk within the limits of the tie out. She wears a collar for everyday, but she needs a harness when on tie out or leash walking. She may try to escape if she gets wind of a squirrel or chipmunk. She is very snuggly. She loves to give kisses. Nelly has spent a lot of time with our 8 year old granddaughter and mostly sits and snuggles her. She has also spent time with our 5 year old grandson. Biking events have lots of children at them and she is very good with all of them that come to visit her and give her attention.
