PUPDATE 3

While Maple’s foster family was out of town, she got to attend a sleepover with a sitter. It took Maple no time at all to adjust to her new home. After playing with the sitter and their dogs all day, Maple settled into her crate without a peep. Maple would love a home that allows her to socialize with many humans and dogs. We have started leaving Maple in a secluded room again when left alone. Even after 4 hours of being alone, Maple did not have an accident in the house. Maple is a great dog! She can’t wait to make someone’s home very happy.

PUPDATE 2

Maple's foster sister was adopted, and so now she is an only dog. She has adjusted well to this change! She now spends most of her day with her foster family. Maple is a lap dog; she loves being next to you. Maple never says no to playtime, she would play fetch all day if you would let her. We have been working on Maple's commands and leash behavior. Maple will perform sit and shake for a treat. It was a bad week for Maple in terms of chewing on inappropriate toys, so we started crating her when left alone. Maple is doing very good with potty training; she has not had an accident in the house for a week. Maple is one the sweetest and funniest dogs. She always keeps her foster family entertained.

PUPDATE 1

Maple usually starts her day around 8 am and we instantly go out for a potty break. She then eats her breakfast and starts playing with her foster sister. The rest of the day consists of more playtime, potty breaks, and naps.

Maple absolutely loves meeting new people. You instantly become her best friend if you give her attention and pets.  Maple has had no exposure to children.

She is a medium energy pup. She expels most of her energy on walks, and by playing with her foster sister. One walks, Maple does tug on a leash, and sometimes resists your directions. This can make walks particularly difficult, as she is strong. Also, Maple wants to 'play' with every bird/animal she sees. Maple is very playful pup. She loves to play tug-a-war with her foster family and will chase any toy that you throw.

Maple currently lives with another foster pup of the same age and slightly smaller build. They have a blast playing with each other all day long. They mostly play fight, or chew on the same toy. Maple gets super excited to meet new dogs on our walks. We haven't met a dog she hasn't instantly loved yet.  Maple has had no exposure to cats.

Maple is allowed to free roam in a secluded room when left alone for a short period of time. She usually settles down with a toy, and then takes a nice nap. We are still working on potty training, and so we have come home to accidents before. Maple is crated to sleep at night. She normally does good in her crate until the morning (she starts getting antsy).

She is a big baby. Maple is a super happy, and very loving. She loves being outside, and loves getting affection from her foster family. Maple has a weakness for shoes, but other than that, she does a really good job chewing on appropriate toys. Maple is currently taking antibiotics to help an infection from a spay incision.
