Adopted on June 25th!

Lou is such a happy pup and loves everything and everyone! She loves other dogs and currently resides with two female dogs that she constantly plays with. She has also played and met some neighbor dogs with no issues; Lou is instantly ready to play with every dog she meets! She also loves meeting new people and has loved everyone she has met with no signs of being timid or fearful. Lou has met a few kids (maybe 2-3) with no issues, no jumping, or fear. She didn't seem phased or extra interested in them, but she’ll need continued practice around kids for manners.

Her typical day is waking up, going out, being fed and then having a good wrestle session and/or walk. She will then work on some toys, nap, and try to sneak in a few more wrestle sessions throughout the day before hanging outside as much as she can in the afternoon/evening, often with a second walk. Yes, that's right, she also walks very well on a leash!

Lou is 6 months old, so still has puppy energy, but is very good at being redirected to settle, or play with appropriate toys. She goes into her crate well and we are gradually increasing her time spent in there during the day. She currently sleeps through the night in her crate in silence, but she can still sometimes be a little vocal in her crate for parts of the day. She has already made achievements in this area. She also knows most of the basic commands (no, sit, down, come) and we are working on mastering a few others (leave-it, shake, come). Lou is very treat motivated, so it's making training pretty easy and fun.

Lou also loves toys, balls, walks and just laying outside watching the birds and chewing on sticks. Lou would make a great addition to a home that already has dogs, but be ready for lots of play sessions! We also think Lou would do well as an only dog, as she does very well entertaining herself with her toys. So, if you are looking for a well tempered pup that just loves everything about life, Lou may be a great match for you.
