PUPDATE 1
Kozmo wakes up around 5 am with the rest of the crew and enjoys a potty/poop break followed by play time. After that, he eats his breakfast in his crate and then goes out for another potty/poop break before foster parents go to work. He is in the crate 7:30am to 3:30pm M-F and does well. Afternoons and evenings are spent outside, playing, and he gets 3-ish walks per week to work on his leash manners.
Kozmo is initially a little bit hesitant around new people but warms up quickly both inside and outside of the home. Kozmo has not met any children. Kozmo is neutral towards our cat and leaves her alone. Kozmo sits quietly in his crate when he is left alone.
Kozmo has medium to high energy and likes to RUN in the yard. He has the endurance of a marathon runner! In total he spends at least 3 hours in the yard each day. Walks are 20 minutes 3 times per week - he naturally heels but may need some work with focusing on his handler as he is always scanning the environment.
Kozmo does very well with other dogs his age. He has met two other puppies, and the three of them played very well and appropriately together. He infrequently will growl at other dogs if they get near his crate while he is eating (all dogs eat in their kennels). He has difficulty sharing toys when he first meets a dog but eventually warms up and does fine with this.
Kozmo is a GEM of a dog - anyone would be lucky to have him as their companion! He is very sweet, loyal, and incredibly smart. He catches on very quickly to routines and has been thriving at our home with structure and guidance. When I'm working on my computer in the evenings, he sits next to me quietly enjoying a bone or a toy - so anyone working from home would have a great coworker!
