Kirby is a sweet boy. Every day I can see him taking more steps toward being confident in the house and around humans. He's recently started coming up for pets with encouragement from the resident dog, and sometimes even rests his head in my hand or on my leg.
He's very gentle - always uses a soft mouth when playing with the resident Chihuahua. He loves playing chase around the fenced-in yard - he and the resident dog take turns chasing each other, and he also likes it when I chase him around the yard for a few minutes.
We're developing a routine - he loves mealtime and takes his breakfast and dinner in his crate. He loves chew toys, chew bones and raw hide rolls, and basically any treats or tough toys. He will do best in a home with another dog or dogs - he is more confident (eventually) and joyful with a pack. He will surely be a loyal, loving dog, especially if you are calm and consistent.
In general, Kirby is super gentle and is taking his time to settle in and be less fearful. He spends most of his time hanging out on the couch, napping or enjoying the passersby outside on the sidewalk. He is playful and enjoys pets, once he's comfortable. He'll do best with a person or people who can be patient and gentle while working on leash and other training. Overall, he is an absolute sweetheart and has the potential to be an incredibly loyal and loving dog.
