PUPDATE 3

Judy changed foster homes about two weeks ago and we've been having a great time with her! She sleeps in her crate/playpen at night and starts to stir around 7:30 or so. After a potty trip, she'll play with my resident dog for a bit and they usually take a morning nap together. I work from home and she spends about half her day in her playpen, half free roaming around the apartment. She's been earning more free roaming time as she's making strides with house training, improved so much even in the few weeks we've had together -- an accident here or there but when we stick to our schedule and have plenty of opportunities to go, she does so well!

She doesn't appear to have separation anxiety and does just fine in her crate/playpen. She'll pop up and give a whine or two if she thinks she's missing out on something but settles quickly. When she's really excited (if I've just come home or if I'm coming over with food), she makes this purring 'awooo' sound - it's the cutest!

Judy's a delightful little goofball and will be an amazing addition for a lucky family!

PUPDATE 2

We love Judy! She is a cuddly pup that is full of puppy energy and puppy snuggles. She is using her pee pads regularly and goes potty when we let her out. She is doing great learning the ropes to potty training and she is eager to learn other tricks like “sit.” Judy likes to be near her humans but does great alone. She is always looking to give lots of kisses.

PUPDATE 1

Judy wakes up as soon as she hears us stirring which is around 6 am. She goes potty and then has breakfast. She then spends the rest of her day playing, eating, napping. We have a resident dog that keeps her occupied throughout the day.

Judy loves people inside and outside the home. She eagerly greets those who come to the door and will snuggle on anyone's lap. She is a little mouthy given that she is a puppy but can be redirected.

Judy plays well with our 3- and 9-year-old. She does jump which can be a bit much for the 3-year-old. Once her initial excitement settles she just snuggles.

Judy is a high energy puppy. She plays a lot with the 1-year-old foster pup. She walks well on a leash but she mostly hangs out in the backyard. She does well with recall when she wanders too close to the neighbors. If she doesn't have a resident furry friend to play with a couple walks per day should help settle her energy.

She gets along well with our resident dog who is 70 pounds and likes meeting other dogs on walks. We haven't had any problems with other pups. She hasn't been exposed to cats.

She does whine for a bit when left alone but then settles in. She hasn't been completely alone because we do have another dog.

Judy is super sweet, gives tons of kisses and likes to cuddle. She is a bit jumpy so we are working on redirecting that behavior. She continues to work on potty training. She is getting better at going out and tends to have accidents in the same spot in the house. She is a slow eater which is fine but challenging for the resident dog so if she doesn't eat her food within 10 min we bring it up and offer it again at the next feeding time. She likes to know what is going on and gets excited to see her humans. She is learning to 'sit' before we put down her food and before treats. With patience and consistency she will grow up to be a great pup!
