Jonny's day starts around 7am with a potty break and breakfast. He is let out about every 3 hours throughout the day. His day is filled with naps, snuggles, quick training sessions and bursts of playtime. His evening meal is around 4:30pm and is ready for bed at 9:30pm.
Jonny is timid to meet new people, but you can tell he wants to try. While Jonny enjoys ear scratches, belly rubs and other handling, he is scared of sudden movements and loud noises. He would do better in a quieter and more relaxed household.
He has not interacted with small children, only teens. Jonny likes greeting all members of the foster home, which two teenagers are a part of.
This boy is a medium energy pup who absolutely loves playing in the snow and going for short walks. He is working on leash manners, as he gently pulls in all directions.
Jonny has only met other dogs on walks around the neighborhood. With these short interactions, he is very excited and playful. Jonny has not meet cats in his foster home.
Jonny should not be left alone, unless crated. He can stay in his crate overnight but should not be crated during the day for extended periods of time. Jonny does have mild separation anxiety. He can be in the crate for 1-2 hours at a time during the day. He seems to need more of a puppy structure and to be let out for a potty break every 3 hours. He sometimes has a hard time calming himself back down while in the crate.
This pup is currently being treated for skin sores with topical and oral medication. He should always have access to his crate because this is his choice of a safe space. We are building his confidence towards car rides. He has traits of a hunting/tracking dog and will need to be kept securely on leash.
