Johnson is a very low energy pup. He typically lays at my feet while I'm working and follows me around the house. When we go outside, he pretty much does the same.
He's great with people, I've introduced Johnson to a few people inside the home so far and shows nothing but excitement and love to the new arrivals. I recently took him to a cookout outside where there were multiple people and he was calm the whole time, just enjoying receiving pets and attention!
He has only been introduced to children twice for about an hour each time. He didn’t show any aggression or awkwardness, just his typical mellow energy enjoying the attention and love they were giving him.
Johnson has a very mellow, low energy personality. I've attempted to walk him around the block but when I hit the bottom of the driveway he just laid down and refused to move. We have been walking around the yard trying to build up the confidence. He doesn’t pull on the leash at all.
I have not introduced him to dogs inside the home. He whines in excitement anytime he sees another dog outside the home and loved being at the vet with the other dogs. The neighbor dog was barking at him one day (very aggressively) and Johnson was wagging his tail just wanting to meet/play with the very aggressive dog. I don't think he has a mean bone in his body. Johnson has not met cats.
He paces from window to window when alone and will whine/bark if he sees someone. Johnson hasn't been destructive but I don't think he is comfortable being alone yet.
Johnson was treated with a round of antibiotics for anaplasma. He hasn’t shown any clinical signs so the treatment was preventative. The Wisconsin vet was able to extract 11 teeth during his dental.
I just want to say again how much Johnson loves being with other dogs, he is just a different level of happy even seeing another dog. Also, he doesn't really chew on toys (or even gets excited about getting a new one) and loves bones (which is why I think his teeth were so bad).
