Hi! I’m Jessie. I moved here from Texas and am hoping to find my “furever” home here. I really like it here. My favorite things to do are sniff, walk/ play and snuggle. I live with another dog, and she plays with me, walks with me and has helped me learn new manners!
I have done lots of fun things since arriving here. We have gone to Central Bark and The BoneYard where I get to play with other dogs and meet new people. I soaked up all the attention and treats I could get. I also go on long walks with my foster dog sibling and foster mom. Sometimes we just walk on the sidewalk, but sometimes we go in grassy/ wooded areas where she lets me sniff around. This is my FAVORITE! My foster mom keeps telling me how silly I am. I just really like getting belly rubs and snuggles and will do what I can to get as many as I can.
I really hope my new family will keep doing fun activities with me. I really love them. We also snuggle after and I really want to be able to keep snuggling with my people. Here is more from my foster mom:
Jessie is a fun happy pup that we have enjoyed having around. She is young and her manners are a work in progress, but Jessie is proving to be very trainable. She is potty trained, crate trained, she knows sit, wait, touch, bed (place) and we are working on others. Jessie is a champ at hanging out with us while we work so we have started letting her free roam and she is handling this privilege well. She doesn’t like to be crated alone so we started testing her by giving her more space. This worked wonders for Jessie as she didn’t show significant signs of stress and also wasn’t destructive.
Jessie will adorably flop over anytime you get close in the hopes of some attention. She really loves belly rubs and snuggling and her new family should be prepared to provide ample of both while continuing her training to help her build good habits.
