Hippy is truly a ray of sunshine in dog form. You simply cannot be around her without smiling. Hippy is also a tripod (she has three legs), but don’t let that fool you — it doesn’t slow her down or dampen her spirit one bit! She keeps up just fine and lives life to the fullest. Because of her mobility, her future family should be able to occasionally lift her (about 45 lbs), such as helping her into the car.
At home, Hippy is incredibly affectionate and people-focused. Her love language is physical touch, and she will happily soak up all the snuggles and kisses you can give. You will always know when she is near as you can hear her happy tail thumping as soon as she knows you are home. Hippy forms strong bonds with her people and truly makes them her whole world, so she’s looking for a forever family who is excited to return that same love and devotion.
Hippy is fully potty trained and settles nicely into a routine. She’s an outgoing, friendly girl who thrives in the company of other dogs and would likely do best with a non-dominant companion since she tends to be more submissive but loves to play, snuggle, and sleep with the current resident dog in her foster home. She would do best in a home with another dog companion!
She has had positive interactions with kids, though she does not currently live with them. Hippy has not been around cats, so her comfort level with them is unknown.
