Hazel is a gentle 8-year-old schnauzer mix with the softest heart and calmest spirit. She’s the kind of dog who reminds you to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy the simple things in life — like a comfy blanket, a quiet nap, and a good cuddle.
This lovely girl is happiest when she’s close to her people. Whether she’s resting her head on your lap while you read or snoozing by your side on the couch, Hazel just wants to be near you. She doesn’t need constant activity or lots of toys, just a small bone to chew on and a bed to nap in.
Hazel is dog friendly and kid friendly according to her Southern foster. In my home, she's been indifferent towards my 10 lb female dog, and hasn't been around kids of any age. Her experience with cats is unknown.
She’s crate trained and does great when left alone. While Hazel is working on being fully house trained, she’s making steady progress and is eager to please. She sits like a dream and is very food motivated!
At heart, Hazel is a people dog. She thrives on connection and will gladly spend her days following you from room to room, offering her loyal company and those soulful eyes that say, “I love you.”
