PUPDATE 2

This week Harper has been having fun in the yard. Catching fireflies is a requirement if outside after dark. She discovered the excitement of water spraying out of the hose and popping bubbles. Her leash manners are getting better and accepts payment via treats for voluntary check-ins by looking back at you. Harper’s commands are getting much better. We are solidifying sit, down, kennel, and come. Harper is ready to find a forever home.

PUDPATE 1

Harper sleeps in her crate until 6:30am when she goes outside for a bathroom break and eats breakfast. She is food motivated so we use mealtimes as an opportunity for basic obedience training. Her dinner is around 6pm and is ready for bed by 9:30pm.

This girly does well meeting people inside and outside of the home, just make sure she doesn't jump. Harper has only interacted with teens, no young kids. She would do best without young kids due to jumping and mouthy behavior.

She is a medium energy dog, so her days include several naps with playtime and a walk or two in between. However, she is working on her leash manners and responding to leash pressure.

Harper has not met other dogs while in foster care. She has passed by dogs and humans while on walks without a response but can get very excited when she sees other dogs or people walking by her home when she's outside, so we're working on redirecting this response. Harper is very food motivated!  She has no exposure to cats.

When left alone Harper is kenneled. She only takes a minute or two to settle and curl up.

This sweetheart likes to slowly extend her greeting with a hug and a kiss.
