Updates
I wake up in the morning after a quiet night's sleep next to the bed (I would rather sleep in the bed, but I'm not great at jumping up that high). I go outside (I go potty on command!) and eat breakfast with all the other furry babies (cat, free-range bunny, and 2 other dogs, I get along with everyone!) I never fight, and I am a good boy who sits for my food when told to. Then I hang out while my foster family does their morning routine, and I go outside one more time before they leave for the day around 6:30. I usually wait the day in my big kennel, but one-day mom forgot to latch it, so I let myself out and hung out with the other fur babies for the day, and I was a very good boy all day.
Mom comes home from work at 4:15, and I am so excited to see her that I run around in circles until she catches me to go outside. I go out on the leash and I go potty on command again. Then I bound up the porch stairs, and wait patiently until mom lets us all in again. I wait for my food to be put in the bowl, and then I sit while Mom puts the bowl on the ground.
I love it when the kids come home from school. I run to meet them at the door, and I check them to see what they smell like for the day. Sometimes we go for a walk, and sometimes we play outside, but my favorite is after that, when we sit on the couch and all cuddle together. I LOVE to lay across their laps, and I smile the biggest smile while they stroke my fur, and cuddle me! I love to kiss the young ones. People are my favorite, and cuddles are my favorite, and soft places are my favorite. I am just so happy, I want to please everyone. I don't play many games, but I love having my belly rubbed, and just touching you any way I can while I sleep. Even if it is just my paw on you.
Mom says I am very smart because I only have to be told "no" once or maybe twice, and I get it. I also have picked up on my new name, "sit," "come," and I am learning "off."
I can't wait to meet my new cuddle buddies! I will cuddle with you all night long!
