QUICK FACTS: ✔️ Potty trained! ✔️ Great running partner ✔️ Can be left home unattended ❌ Stranger and dog reactivity

Updates

Flora is a loyal, intelligent, and playful dog. She enjoys being outdoors and loves nature! Whether on walks, running, hiking, at the dog park, swimming, or just sniffing around the neighborhood, she is happy outside. She can clock a 4 minute mile running next to a bike! Flora has extra energy in the winter months and finds the snow great fun, but in the warmer months you can find her laying in a sun spot or chasing bugs in the garden. In the house she is playful. She likes treat/reward games, agility activities, training activities, and her squeaker. She can be left 8-10 hours alone unattended, although she may end up on your bed. When it comes to food she can be a premadonna and will only eat her kibble with a topper (cheese, sweet potato, etc.). She is not a counter surfer, beggar, or food motivated, but does enjoy a dried sweet potato or other treats (spray cheese, dog treats, cheese sticks).

Flora does interact well with people and dogs that she knows; however, she can be nervous around new people in the home or out and about who try to go in and pet her or hug the human she is with. Overall, she is quite a cuddly dog, enjoys being close to her humans (sitting on the couch, laying on the bed) and likes to lay on the carpet or blankets.

Areas of opportunity for Flora include:
⁃ walking on a leash in crowded or populated areas, expresses some leash reactivity depending on the dog or person (tall males)
⁃ Defending the home: She will bark as people approach (ie delivery persons)
⁃ Skittish: specifically around baby gates and vacuums, young children
⁃ Vet: very nervous, she must be medicated
⁃ Dislikes being approached from behind
