PUPDATE 2:
Emmet went on his first camping trip this weekend! He did great, and also met a couple new doggy friends on a leash. He's okay with other dogs as long as they meet slowly and seems to love to play! At times, he does get a little defensive and will start growling when things go bump in the night, but you can distract him with some treats, and he's content to lay by the fire and just hang out.
PUPDATE 1:
Emmet is usually up by 7 or 8 am already, and we'll go out for our morning walk before settling down for breakfast. He definitely shows his excitement for food with lots of tippy-taps! The humans have been working from home, so after breakfast, Emmet will usually lay in the sun on the floor of the office for a nap, while the humans work. We take him out for another walk after work, then play around or just hang out on the couch for some snuggle time. Emmet definitely loves getting belly rubs!
Emmet hasn't had any interactions with children yet, but he's been very chill with other humans that have come over. He will jump up on people when he wants attention but is never aggressive.
He is a medium-high energy dog and often has a case of zoomies in the afternoon. Emmet walks super well on a leash and loves to sniff while he walks. Occasionally, he'll take off after a squirrel or rabbit, but he stops pretty quickly when he feels his leash being pulled.
Emmet has only encountered dogs while we're out walking on a leash. He usually doesn't bark and stares at them from afar but doesn't seem overly aggressive. He hasn't had any interactions with cats yet.
He does super well alone in his crate! Emmet might paw at the door for a little bit, but usually settles down pretty quickly.
Emmet gets super excited and loves to hang out with his humans! This means that sometimes, he might be jumping up on you and following you around the house when you're trying to do chores, but he'll also shower you with lots of love!
