Updates

Duckie waits patiently in her crate until we get up in the morning around 6:00 am. She has been taught to not exit her crate until given the command 'free'. She goes outside right away for a potty break (again will not go out the door until given the command 'free'.) Then it's inside for breakfast in her slow-feeding dog dish. She is so happy to have time to sit with us for lots of pets and love before we get ready for work. She roams the house, follows us for more attention, and plays until we leave for work. Duckie spends her day quietly in her crate until we're home. Then it's a night filled with dinner, maybe a walk, playing, and couch time for snuggles. Duckie will steal your heart as she just melts into you for big hugs. She will be your best friend!

Duckie is the sweetest dog ever. Her eyes light up when she sees new people and becomes everyone's new friend! She has only met one small child (2 years old) -- she was excited, let the child pet her, and seemed to be okay with it. It was short interaction while she was on the leash outside for a walk.

Duckie has medium to medium-low energy. She loves walks and playing, but seems just as happy to lounge on the couch with us. She does very well on the leash as we continue to train her.

Duckie took some time to warm up to our small female French Bulldog, but they are now very compatible. She was instantly comfortable and perhaps a little smitten with our son's large 80lb, male Goldendoodle. She does not show an adverse reaction to dogs she sees when we go for walks, but has not been in a situation to approach them.

Duckie is the best crate-trained dog we have ever had! She is very quiet and does not seem to mind several hours in her crate at night or when we're at work.

Duckie will steal your heart in a minute! Her big eyes tell you she craves to be your best companion. She's the kind of dog that just makes you feel good when she's close!
