Updates

Dotty and her sister Remy share a crate at night and get let out around 6:30/7:00am everyday for about 1-2 hours before I head out for work. In that time they usually eat some breakfast, drink water and play both inside and outside. Before I leave they get crated again while we are at work until about 4:00pm. Once we get home they get let outside into our large fenced in yard and run around like crazy, explore the yard and play with each other and toys. They eat dinner usually around 7:30pm and hang out with us until we go to bed around 10:30/11:00pm. We reward them with treats and usually give them one bone or chewy in a day.

Dotty does very well with people. We have had several friends and family come over to meet her and she is very sweet, loving and responsive to them.

We have had a few children around Dotty ranging in age from 9 months to 5 years old. She does very well them. She just wants to play with them.

Dotty has medium to high energy but the high energy usually only comes out when you’d expect, like after she's been crated for several hours. She loves to run around in our yard. We just started doing walks with leashes so she is still learning. If you keep the lease short enough she does pretty well!

We have only introduced Dotty to one other dog besides her puppy sister that we have in the house. Dotty did very well with the grown dog and just wanted to play with her. Dotty did not bark or growl at her. I think Dotty will do well with just about any dog she encounters.

We have a male cat in the house. Dotty does very well with him. She just wants to play with him so sometimes a little chasing happens but it’s never been anything aggressive. They have been nose-to-nose before, checking each other out, and usually then they just walk away from each other. They can be in the same room together.

Dotty is doing very well with potty training! As with puppies this young, a few potty accidents occur here and there, but she’s learning.

Dotty is crated when we leave the house. We have left her in the family room unattended while we are either upstairs or downstairs doing things. She does well as long as everything is picked up. I can trust Dotty to be alone as long as the space is picked up. For example, no leaving shoes in the room as she is curious about them and will take them!

Dotty is such a sweet dog and is well behaved. She likes her belly rubbed, playing fetch and playing with all toys! She has already learned how to sit on command and does well with people, dogs and cats.
