"Beautiful!" "Regal!" "A total snuggle-bug!" These are some things people are saying about Diamond!
Some things about Diamond:
--Fully potty trained.
--Crate trained. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate and will hang out in there for up to four hours during the day if you're away.
--Medium energy. She will match your energy level. Happy to have two long walks and a couple short trips outside during the day. She's also delighted to run around like a maniac in your backyard, go for a longer walk, or sleep next to you all day on the couch on rainy days.
--An absolute lover! She warmed up to her foster parents quickly. Once she identifies you as "her" human, Diamond will shower you with love and snuggles!
--Gentle with treats, toys, and food.
--Treat motivated and very smart, making training easier.
--Loving the good life in Wisconsin! Obsessed with couches, toys, snow, and sniffing new places! She will entertain herself with a toy, gladly play a game of tug, or happily chase after a ball if you're throwing! Loves basking in the sun.
--Walks well on a leash with minimal pulling.
--Does great with baths and grooming.
--Minimal barker. Would do fine in an apartment!
Things to note:
--Diamond needs slower introductions to new people (men in particular).
--Diamond needs to be the only dog in the home.
--Diamond has a strong prey drive and should not be placed in a home with cats or small children. She also needs special attention when walking by small critters.
--When Diamond arrived in foster she was leash-reactive, but has made amazing progress! Nonetheless, she would do best with someone who has some experience reading dog body language and who is willing to keep working with her on this.
--Diamond is a jumper! She should not be left unsupervised in a backyard with a fence shorter than 6 feet until she has been trained not to leave the yard.
All in all Diamond is a wonderful, sweet, loving pup that will make the right person or family very happy!
