Hi! I’m Cash! A red lab mix known for the sweet, friendly nature of my golden lab relatives, while having a gentle, slightly more reserved personality. I’m loyal, affectionate, and LOVE to be with my hoomans. I greet my hoomans at the door and melt down to the floor for belly rubs! I’m the sweetest velcro dog around the house - happy wherever my people are. I live with my foster family’s three kids (teen, tween, and elementary aged), two resident big dogs, and two cats. I’d probably do great with a doggie sibling that loves to play like I do, but I love people so much I would also be okay on my own with my hoomans.
I’m super smart - I know my name, “sit”, “come”, “paw”, “no”, and am already starting to learn “leave it” and “drop it”. When my hoomans take me for walks I love everyone I meet! I’m working on my leash skills because I love to smell every tree and greet every person and dog I see along the way. A quick “Cash, come” usually gets me back on track, but bunnies and squirrels are a little harder to ignore. My hoomans wouldn’t run unless a bear was chasing them, but they have run as far as they could with me and I LOVED it! I would probably be a great running partner if you are a hooman who loves to run.
I love to go exploring and do great riding in the car. My hoomans were told I love to play in the water, but they haven’t had a chance to test my water skills yet. I do love to play fetch with my hoomans or wrestle with my foster brothers. When my hoomans aren’t around during the day, I can free roam because I don’t really like to chew on things, and I do great in my crate every night. I’m also potty trained!
My foster hoomans are going to be so sad to say goodbye to me because I am the absolute sweetest, most easy going, loving doggie, but they know I will make a wonderful addition to my forever family. My ideal family would be active and with a fenced yard to play, but I would probably be okay in an apartment if my hoomans were active and took me on regular adventures or runs.
