Copper found her forever family on November 25, 2020!

PUPDATE 2

Copper is doing great in her foster home! We finally found a food she likes and we can tell she's feeling more energetic and comfortable now that she has a solid eating schedule. We give her 1.5 cups of Beneful twice a day with a little plain yogurt mixed in. We have to feed her when no one in the house is eating or cooking food otherwise she won't be interested in anything else! Come meet this sweet gal!

PUDPATE 1

Copper naps quite a bit and will snuggle with you if she can. She loves to go on walks and is always curious to investigate and smell everything she sees!

She is great with new people and children. She's very friendly and loves to be pet and cuddle on the couch.  Copper grew up with four kids (some toddlers) and her previous family said she did great with them!  She may have been known to steal food.

Copper is very low energy but enjoys going outside and exploring. She does well on a leash but can slip out of her collar if she sees a dog and gets excited.

We're not sure how Copper does with cats, but she has had both good and bad interactions with other dogs. She's generally very friendly but needs boundaries to make her feel safe like keeping both dogs on leashes and being in a neutral space.

She sometimes barks when she's left alone and will definitely eat any trash or food that is left out. Copper has also peed a few times when she gets nervous so putting her in a crate is best for her.

Copper gets carsick very easily so long car trips can be tough.

Copper has had problems eating dog food in the past - when she gets nervous or when there is other food around. She's a picky eater so finding food that she likes is a struggle! She will eat chicken and rice.
