Meet Cody! While Cody currently lives with one other dog, he has had previous foster siblings of all sizes. He loves to play but is respectful and patient if his foster siblings do not want to. He is great at sharing toys and has not been known to tear or shred them up. He especially enjoys chewing on his Benebone and testing out all of the squeaky toys. Cody is a gentle treat taker and does not resource guard his food when fed.
Cody isn’t very confident in new spaces or with new noises and would benefit from having another dog around to help him with this. When walked alone, he can be anxious of his surroundings so we are working to help him build more confidence on solo walks.
Cody loves his humans and would also do well as an only dog for this reason. With slow introductions to new people in his space and plenty of treats, he warms up to new people pretty quickly. Within the first few hours of having him, Cody settled in and was cozily snuggling with us on the couch.
Cody is allowed to free roam when left alone for short periods of time but does well in his crate for longer stretches of time. He also sleeps in his crate and will go in when told without protest.
Cody’s love language is touch and he is a top tier cuddler. If you are looking for a handsome gentleman to keep you warm – he’s the dog for you!
