Updates
Cocoa wakes up and does her morning pottying/eating/playing then goes back in the crate for 2-3 hours. She is in and out of the crate off and on throughout the day until dinner. Does night routine and is in bed no later than 9 pm.
She does great with people. She is more timid when meeting people in the sense that she won’t be jumping all over them, but is excited and warms up quickly and is interested in all new people. She is neutral with toddlers; neither interested nor uninterested but loves elementary to high school aged children when they play with her.
She has very normal energy for a medium energy dog. Loves to play but will also settle down and cuddle.
Cocoa has a very submissive personality with all the dogs she’s met (all have been medium to large males).
She is interested in cats but once they show any sign of disinterest or aggression, she gladly keeps her space. Would, likely, cohabitate well with a cat if the cat was tolerant of her.
She may whine/cry for a few minutes when left alone in her crate but not excessive.
A faint grade 1-2 (on a scale of 1 to 6) heart murmur was detected at a vet appointment in May, however no signs of congestive heart failure have been noted on physical exam or historically. Recommend adopters discuss this condition with their veterinarian prior to adoption if they have any concerns. Depending on the cause of the murmur, Cocoa may still outgrow this murmur, or her murmur may be present through life but never cause a problem, or it is possible her heart murmur may progress later in life.
Cocoa is a spunky little girl that loves to play and then will cuddle you into oblivion when she’s done. Cocoa is truly one of the best cuddle buddies you could ask for and she LOVES her humans hard.
