Updates

Cobalt found her furever family on October 4! This lucky will have a brother named Mosi (former Fetch pup)!

PUPDATE 2

Cobalt continues to do very well with us! She is such a happy, energetic puppy. She benefits from long walks and lots of puppy playtime. She's super social and loves meeting other dogs, especially ones that will wrestle with her. She's a big hit in the neighborhood and always gets a lot of compliments on her beautiful coloring and eyes.

She is working on learning manners. She still often nips at hands and faces, jumps up when excited, and knocks into us and tries to pull on the leash. She's still a puppy and learning what is acceptable and how to behave like her older, more calm resident playmate.

A potential adopter should be prepared to give her daily allergy meds and know that this may be a long-term issue. She can be somewhat sensitive to food types as well. We keep her on food, treats, and don't feed her any table scraps and watch her closely outside to make sure she doesn't get into anything she's not supposed to!

Cobalt does great in the crate and sleeps through the night. Every so often she has an accident in the crate, but it is typically if she is a bit off her schedule due to us working longer hours. She will definitely need someone who can take her out during the day until she matures and can go longer stretches alone.

Cobalt is such a great puppy. She will be a very loyal companion who is up for any adventure!

PUPDATE 1

Cobalt wakes up early in the morning and is SO happy to see her humans. We take her outside for a potty break and then she eats breakfast, plays outside and is crated while we get ready for the day.

She loves interacting with our kids ranging in ages from 1 to 13 years old. Cobalt is a typical puppy and will need to be monitored around younger children for nipping and jumping.

Cobalt needs lots of exercise like walks, playtime, and outings to keep her engaged. She is a friendly and fun puppy that would love to go anywhere with you. She's great on a leash and awesome in the car.

She has never met a cat, but Fetch can cat test her if needed.  Cobalt loves meeting and playing with other dogs. She is very respectful of boundaries and takes cues from older dogs well.

When Cobalt is home alone, or if we cannot watch her closely, we put her in the crate. She goes in willingly and does not bark when she is crated. She needs to be let out of her crate once in the middle of the night to go potty.

One important note is that Cobalt suffers from allergies. She may need long-term medication or dietary modifications to control scratching and biting fur and paws. Cobalt is going to make a very loyal and fun-loving companion. This sweetie is ready to meet her forever family!
