Meet Cindy!

Cindy (aka Momma Bear) was found in the woods with her puppies late last year. Despite roughing it for a while, Cindy has learned to enjoy the finer things in life including soft beds, lots of squeaky toys, and snuggling on the couch with her foster family. She is so sweet, a little shy and pretty silly. We think Cindy could be a good candidate for free roaming once her potty training is locked in, but we are working on crate training as well. If she is tired and has a Kong to nibble on, she settles in well. We think she might have done some howling at the moon in her time in the wild, as she’ll occasionally do that when she gets excited (or in the crate and bored) so she’d prefer a home without shared walls. Cindy is medium energy - she goes on two walks a day and will play with our resident dogs, but settles in for a good snuggle with her human or dog friends after some exercise. Cindy is still learning some inside manners like not jumping on people (but she loves them so much), counter surfing, etc, though she is redirected pretty easily. Cindy really enjoys her foster dog siblings, but likely would do fine solo assuming she did continue to get some playtime with non-humans to continue her socialization. Cindy did an amazing job caring for her babies, and she now deserves a loving home of her own to continue to learn about the good life!
