Meet Charlotte: a truly sweet, soft-hearted puppy with the most beautiful eyes and lashes you’ve ever seen. 💕 At just 6.5 months old, Charlotte is gentle, loving, and quietly charming. She may be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a playful, snuggly girl who wants nothing more than to be close to her people.
Charlotte has a wonderful temperament and is extremely affectionate. She’s friendly with humans (just a little reserved initially) and does great with all dogs — in fact, she gains a ton of confidence from having a canine friend around. Watching another dog show her “it’s okay” makes a big difference for her. She loves running around the yard, especially in the snow, playing fetch, chasing tennis balls, and squeaking her favorite toys. After playtime, she’s perfectly happy curling up on the couch for a cozy nap.
She’s crate trained and does great with it: Charlotte eats in her crate, sleeps quietly in a crate in the bedroom overnight, and willingly goes in during the day for a few hours when needed. She’s very quiet overall and rarely barks. She’s working on basic obedience and already knows “sit” and “crate” well. Like any puppy, she still has some puppy habits, shoes and socks are tempting, and she’ll chew on non-toy items if given the chance so she’ll need supervision and appropriate chew toys.
Charlotte is still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. New environments and experiences can be intimidating for her, and she may startle with loud noises or quick movements. She took a few days to warm up in her foster home, but once she did, her playful and loving personality came through. She’s now comfortable running around the backyard, going up stairs, playing with toys, and snuggling on the couch. Leash walking and leaving the house are still works in progress — she’s anxious and unsure right now — but with patience, consistency, and positive experiences, she’s already showing that she can grow more confident over time.
Charlotte would thrive in a calm, patient home with an adopter who understands shy puppies and is excited to help her build confidence at her own pace. A home with another friendly dog would be a big bonus for her. With love, reassurance, and time, Charlotte will be an incredibly loyal, affectionate, & fun companion. She’s so ready to find the family who will help her feel safe and loved forever. 🐾
