Charli sleeps with me, so she will get up whenever I do, which is earlier on weekdays and often later on the weekends. She plays a little bit every morning with my resident dog or toys, eats breakfast, and goes outside. She is crated when I go to work with a break around lunchtime. Charli is so happy and excited when I get home! We go for a walk and then usually relax by snuggling on the couch.
She is a little shy at first, but warms up easily. Then she loves being around people! She enjoys playing with toys with me and also snuggling a lot. Charli is definitely a people person and tends to prefer adults over kids. She does fine around kids, but will prefer to follow an adult around the house.
Charli has a medium energy level. You get the best of both worlds because she will get some energy and play with her toys or my resident dog (who is a little bigger than her), but then she will snuggle for hours. We do one walk per day that is not too long. She gets super excited when going out, so I have been trying to work on calming down and sitting nicely to be leashed.
She is great with dogs in the home - extremely friendly if they are friendly with her. If a dog growls at her outside, she might growl back and get scared. Usually she is just eager to meet other dogs when walking! She does best with smaller dogs, as larger dogs seem to scare her and make her uneasy. She has not met cats.
Charli has a little separation anxiety when no one is home because she loves to be around people. She will cry a bit when you first crate her, but calms down quickly and then is fine all day. If we are gone for a short period of time, we let her roam the apartment with our resident dog, which she does fine with!
Overall, Charli is a sweetheart! She’s not much of a talker unless other dogs are barking. She can sit when on carpeted floor/rugs, and we have been working on stay. Charli is such a happy pup with her own little personality that everyone who meets her enjoys!
