Hey there, I'm Cajun, the adventure-loving pup looking for my forever home! Nothing makes my tail wag more than exploring the great outdoors, so if you're an active person who enjoys hiking and outdoor fun, we could be a perfect match! As a high-energy dog, I require 1-2 hours of exercise per day, after that I'm happy to snooze in my crate or lounge around the house...or better yet, snuggle! Every human I have met has been an excellent snuggle buddy.
My exuberance for life, combined with my size, can make me overwhelming for small kids. I'd do best in a house with older or no kids.
My foster mom says I'd be great as an only dog, or in a home with a very tolerant and patient dog sibling. Apparently, I get too excited around other dogs and can be "a bit much", whatever that means.
I thrive off of routine, boundaries, and structure, so I am looking for an experienced owner who can provide me with guidance. In exchange, I promise to be a loyal companion who will make you laugh, provide excellent cuddles, and never say no to an adventure.
Cajun tested positive for Heartworm despite being on preventatives while in foster care. He completed his last treatment injection on October 19, 2023 and can be adopted after 12/15/2023.
