Hi! I’m Bubbles! I came all the way from Louisiana to escape wildfires. I am so excited and happy to start my new life in Wisconsin! I’ll let my foster mom tell you all about how wonderful and cute I am, but I just wanted to say hi, and I can’t wait to meet you!
Bubbles is an energetic, squiggly puppy who loves life and loves everyone she’s met. Her typical day starts around 6am with a quick trip outside, followed by breakfast. While I work from home, Bubbles spends her time in a puppy-proofed room of the house with her crate and bed. She splits the time between the two spots napping, with occasional breaks to look out the window or play with toys. She generally settles in very quickly, especially with a peanut butter Kong. She gets several breaks throughout the day to potty and play outside. She loves sniffing around the yard! After work is over she gets more play time, dinner, and then we lounge on the couch and Bubbles begins her work for the day – thoroughly inspecting every toy in the toy bin. It’s a hard job, but some pup has to do it! After she’s tired, she wiggles up on the couch with us for some snuggles. She sleeps through the night with no problem.
She is a very social, bubbly girl and has had lots of big adventures in the last couple of weeks! She strutted her stuff around the puppy pen at the Fetch 5K and had so much fun meeting new people, kids, and other dogs. She’s been to several stores to practice training (she’s got “sit” and “down” down!) and of course get some treats from the cashiers. She stayed with a sitter recently and got a glowing report card. With the sitter, she had several play dates with other Fetch pups and a trip to a park. She can occasionally be slightly timid at first but warms up in no time! Under our care, she’s met a couple of babies and toddlers and has done great with them.
Bubbles loves playing with other dogs. She came to Wisconsin with her sister Shiloh, and they were here together for a couple of weeks. They had so much fun wrestling and playing chase. She recently attended the Puppy Den and had so much fun! She lives with a resident grumpy dog who has zero interest in her, and she has been very respectful of his space and cues. I think Bubbles would love a home with another dog to play with. She has not had any exposure to cats under our care.
She is very food motivated, which will make training very easy. She’s a typical puppy and has some work to do on potty training, leash walking, and crate training, but she’s already picked up on so much during the time we’ve had her. Even though she’s a puppy, she’s not very interested in chewing on inappropriate things, and is easily redirected by anything with a squeaker. Bubbles is excellent in the car, and is always up for a car ride for some mid-day Starbucks.
Bubbles is a sweet, affectionate, snuggly puppy who can’t wait to wiggle her way into your home and heart!
