Meet Brutus! This charming fluff ball is busy learning everything about being a good and happy puppy! Brutus came up from Texas with his three brothers and is absolutely loving the snow and colder temperatures. He adores playing outside, adding to his stick collection, and even just hanging out on the patio taking it all in. He hopes he can go to a home with a yard that he can enjoy!
Brutus is a pretty mellow pup. That’s great because he’s going to grow up to be a very big boy! He adores petting and tummy rubs and snuggles, but he’s actually a very independent puppy who will entertain himself with his toys for quite a while! He thinks all of his toys are fantastic, whether they be chewy, fuzzy, bouncy, big or small! He’s a typical puppy who is at the stage where he wants to find out which things in the house are chewable, but he’s pretty easy to redirect, since he loves his toys so much.
Brutus is essentially house trained. When he wants to go out, he sits by the door and looks at you. He’s not a huge fan of his crate, but he will sleep in there if he must. We’ve been letting him loose within the bedroom at night, and he usually sleeps through the night. He’ll sometimes even go into his open crate to sleep. And he always has lots of funny puppy dreams!
He’s a super sweet, silly pup who likes everyone! Brutus wants to greet and be pet by every human he sees. He’s met children before and has been affectionate and gentle with them. We’re not sure how he does with cats. He always wants to play with other dogs he sees, and he watches them longingly if they’re across the street and he can’t get to them. We’re working on leash walking, as well, and he’s catching on quickly! There are just SO many interesting sights and smells out there!
Brutus has an overbite and will eventually require dental surgery, so his adopter should be aware of that. He also has one undescended testicle, which is very common and will cause no issues at all, except for making his neuter a little more complicated when he’s old enough for that. He will also need regular brushing, of course, to keep his fluffy coat in good condition! He tolerates the brush very well, so it’s not a difficult task, and he comes out looking like an adorable fuzzy dandelion!
Brutus has already shown himself to be a sweet, funny, social puppy! If you’re looking to add a very friendly and playful member to your family, Brutus would love to meet you!
