PUPDATE 1
A typical day for Boots starts out by waking up around 7 am to go outside to pee quick. Then he gets fed breakfast shortly after. We go for a mile or so walk/run after his food has digested around 8/8:30 am. During the day, he is pretty chill and will just sleep or look out the window when I am doing work on my computer. Around noon, I take him out for another walk to get some energy out of him or I will play with him. Then when I have to go back to work he will chill. Then we have dinner around 5:30 pm and go for a long walk to end the night.
Boots has been great with kids and other people. He loves to hang out with my roommates when I am busy. When I bring him to work, he gets to play with kids, and he has a blast. He loves to give the kids kisses when he first sees him because he is excited but mellows out pretty quickly.
Boots is a medium to high energy level dog. He tends to sleep all day and just have short spurts of energy. I take him on long walks throughout the day though which may be the reason to his sleepiness. He needs three-mile or more walks a day to keep his exercise and energy levels in check. He is great on the leash except for when he sees a rabbit or squirrel, but a harness should help with that issue. He would do really good in a fenced-in yard though so he can run free whenever; it is not necessary though.
Boots is great with other dogs. He will play for hours if he could. I take him to work with me and he plays all day with two springer spaniels. He also has been good with passing other dogs on walks. I have yet to find out if he is good with cats but Fetch can cat test him.
He will bark a few times after I leave, but when I come back I find him sleeping on a couch or on the floor. There haven't been any accidents or destruction of furniture at all when left alone. He is fine in a crate as well if someone feels more comfortable doing that at first.
Boots takes some time to get comfortable in a new home, but once he is comfortable he is such a sweet and mellow puppy.
