Blake is a loving, chill guy who loves to come in for hugs and lounge outside. He's a very sweet low-medium energy dog and has been an easy keeper. He loves food and gets most of his breakfast and dinner in the grass or a snuffle mat so he can use that hound nose of his and forage. We usually go for one half hour walk most days and spend some time relaxing together in the yard, where he roams, lounges, and occasionally asks for pets or treats. He seems to crave foraging, chewing, and other natural mental activities more than he craves physical activities. I work full time away from home and I can easily give him the time he needs outside of work. He would love to have a balcony or yard to lounge in and watch the world go by. I've been able to take him with me to the sidelines if I'm playing sports and he mostly just sniffs around and casually checks out the other people and dogs on the sideline.

He likes other dogs and seems pretty socially savvy. My dog tends not to like playing with other dogs, and he's very respectful of her when she dismisses him. He's a little shy at first around new dogs and people, but curious and friendly. He has the perfect energy around everyone. He's never too excited and never jumps, but he's happy and waggy around his friends and family. Blake sings some country tunes when I first come home, but is otherwise a pretty quiet guy. He sometimes sits there and does a bark when he sees interesting things while left alone in the yard, but not if I'm sitting out with him (even if my dog loses her mind over something, he doesn't feed off her). He tends not to have big feelings and isn't horribly fearful of anything. He adjusts and adapts to novel things pretty quickly. I've seen him go from "what the heck" to "ok that thing is probably fine" with my vacuum, lawn mower, freezer noises, weird basement noises, and other things. I think he has an excellent temperament.
