Meet Bizzle: A Sweet, Goofy Girl Looking for Her Forever Home!
After being picked up as a stray puppy in the South, Bizzle has spent most of her life living in a shelter. However, she has adapted exceptionally well to living in a home and every day she shows a little bit more of her goofy and loving personality.
She is friendly meeting new dogs and will give a few sniffs/tail wags but then tends to do her own thing. She prefers lower energy and respectful pups, but has done well with all the dogs she’s met. She will need slower intros to dogs she will be sharing space and toys with, but she gets along great with my 10 month old high energy puppy so she could definitely live with another dog with an owner who is willing to be patient with her and give her the time she needs to adjust to a new space. She would also love being an only pup just as much so she can give you all her love an affection!
Bizzle has some mild resource guarding with toys and high value chews, but is easily redirected with verbal cues or something else to focus her attention on. She loves sharing toys with people and loves playing fetch with them, just isn’t keen on other dogs trying to take them away during play. As long as Bizzle is served her meals in a separate area from her foster sister, she does great sharing a water bowl and treats during training sessions!
Bizzle is a pro at doing her business outside and is fully potty trained. She is also crate trained though may whine for a few minutes after you leave or if she feels like she is missing out on some fun. Otherwise she sleeps soundly when crated and sleeps through the night without issue for up to 9 hours!
Bizzle is one of the most affectionate dogs I’ve ever met!. I think her dream day is being cuddled up on the couch and receiving belly scratches 24/7. She’s quick to warm up to people and loves being close to her humans. She finds reassurance in her people and will bond deeply with whoever is lucky enough to adopt her.
Because Bizzle can be startled by loud sounds, a house with young kids probably isn't ideal for her, but I believe older/dog savvy kids would be just fine as she hasn't met a human she doesn't like so far!
Bizzle is looking for a loving, patient adopter who is willing to give her a little time to adjust. She will pay it back 10 fold with loyalty and affection.
