Meet Bizzle: A Sweet, Goofy Girl Looking for Her Forever Home!
After being picked up as a stray puppy in the South, Bizzle has spent most of her life living in a shelter. However, she has adapted exceptionally well to living in a home and every day she shows a little bit more of her goofy and loving personality.
She enjoys meeting new dogs with a few sniffs, but generally prefers to do her own thing until she knows the dog well. She isn't reactive—even when other dogs bark at her during walks! She's calm and well-mannered on leash, occasionally trying to guide you toward a squirrel or two, but she's easily redirected.
It did take a little bit for Bizzle to feel totally comfortable around my resident dog (she wasn’t aggressive, just not a fan of sharing toys and would walk away when she tried to play). To be fair my resident dog is a 10 month old rowdy puppy lol. Now they love playing tug of war with their toys and are playing with each other constantly! She has never shown any sort of resource guarding with humans and loves to play fetch! She could definitely live with other dogs with an owner who’s willing to be patient with her and give her the time she needs to feel comfortable. She would also love being a solo dog so she can give you all her love and attention!
Bizzle is doing great with potty training! She hasn’t had any accident’s since we’ve perfected her routine!
Bizzle is one of the most affectionate dogs you’ll meet. She’s quick to warm up to people and loves being close to her humans. She finds reassurance in her people and will bond deeply with whoever is lucky enough to adopt her.
Because Bizzle can be startled by loud sounds, a house with young kids probably isn't ideal for her, but I believe dog savvy kids would be just fine as she hasn't met a human she doesn't like so far!
Bizzle is doing wonderfully with crate training! She goes right in with her “kennel” command and a treat or two. She’s silent as a mouse in her crate when I’m home and sleeps through the night! She does whine/howl for about 10-15 minutes if I leave the house but then she sleeps soundly! She’s currently doing great for up to 4.5 hours in the crate and will only continue to get better!
