Updates
Every morning Benji wakes up around 7-7:30am and is let out of this crate. He goes potty, which is followed by breakfast. We then go on a walk for 30 minutes or 1+ miles. After, he usually is allowed to play in the yard with our resident dog with supervision. His foster dad works from home and has him crated on and off during the day with breaks to play and for potty. Sometimes, we allow him in the office and he lays at my husband's feet. At the end of the day, he gets more playtime outside and a walk followed by dinner. He usually gets some sort of treat to chew on. He enjoys cuddling with you on the couch. He goes to bed around 10pm and goes into the crate well.
Benji is very much a people dog. He wants to meet you and give you lots of kisses. Outside of the home, he can be barky outside with people at a distance. Benji is a very sweet dog who wants your love and attention. He LOVES pets and attention. He will paw you if he wants more pets. He is very vocal and probably would be better suited for a house. However, he is doing very well with the bark collar. We do trail him on and off it, with training he could maybe be an apartment dog just due to the vocality. Benji does very well on walks with minor pulling on the leash.
Benji has had minor experiences meeting children. When he briefly met our nieces he was sweet but jumpy.
Benji has medium to high energy. He needs a couple of walks during the day and some play time.
Benji and our resident dog are getting more comfortable together. They do enjoy playing with each other but can get a little jealous with toys. We had a friend come over with their dogs for a visit, it went well.
We have two cats at home. For the most part, he leaves them alone but if they run he will chase them.
Benji is crated when alone. He barks at first and then calms down.

Benji has lots of love to give. He would be a great family dog. It would be ideal at this time to be the only dog in the house. He would benefit from a basic doggy class. He is very food motivated. Meet Benji and become his furever family!
