Updates

Meet Beanie! Beanie's motto is "play hard, chill hard." He is a typical puppy that loves the opportunity to play with other dogs and play with toys, but he also just loves snoozing and will put himself in the kennel or at your feet if he just wants to sleep. He does seem to know his size and doesn't jump on people. He's great at meeting new people both inside and outside of the home, and patiently waits for pets or treats, whatever you will give him. He's met a couple of children under 5 in passing and just waited for them to come to him, which is so sweet and amazing for a puppy. He's not very food motivated (although he likes food). He is far more motivated by pets, hugs, and positive words.

Beanie is a dream on a leash! We walk him both with a harness and just on his collar. He doesn't pull and is really good at staying by your side (although that could be because of the treats!). He is definitely up to your mood and will either play when you want to play or snuggle when you want to relax. We would recommend one walk a day and some fetch time, or if you have another dog he'll tucker himself out just by playing with the dog.

Beanie loves other dogs and has a great time playing with them. He is good at respecting other dogs’ boundaries when they want to be left alone and he is also good about letting other dogs know when he wants to be left alone before it escalates into any type of fight. He's met quite a few dogs in the neighborhood and inside the house with no issues. He very rarely barks, and mostly only at howling dogs in the neighborhood that he can't see :)

He picks up cues quickly and learns from other dogs. He sits patiently for food and has learned how to ring the bell for potty time alongside the other dogs in our house. He's a fast learner and aims to please.

Beanie currently lives with cats now and he does great with them! He mostly leaves them alone and never chases them. He will sometimes go and try to clean one of them. If the cat hisses, Beanie respectfully leaves and doesn't bother them again.

Beanie will cry if he's in a crate and can hear or see you still in the house. If you leave the house, he just goes to sleep when left alone (confirmed via our Furbo camera!). We have him crated during the day in a separate room when we work from home to emulate what it would look like for him in a home where people are unable to work remotely. Since he is still a young puppy, she should be let out for a potty break in the middle of the day. He is able to hold it overnight (up to 10 hours). He does need to be let out about 20 minutes after drinking water so we are still working on potty training and him holding it when he's awake and playing.

Beanie's really great and really chill :)
