Art is the smallest of five puppies that were born to mama Cassie in foster care. His mama is a shaggy mixed breed who weighs 19 pounds, so we expect Art to be close to that size full grown. He a smart, silly, playful boy who loves to bounce around, play with toys, and chase his littermates. He has been to two Fetch events with lots of people and kids, and loved being passed around from person to person. His tail wagged nonstop and he wanted to lick everyone who held him.
Art loves playing with other puppies but can be a little scared of big dogs at first. He will make worried squeaky noises and run and hide. He is getting braver and braver every day. It’s hard being the smallest of the pack!
Art is working hard on potty training and will hold his potties very well in his crate or in a pen. I keep him in a puppy pen when indoors and he will potty the second I take him outside. He has been raised around cats and loves to roughhouse with my dog-friendly cat, and politely ignores the cat who does not want to play with him.
Art loves kids but like all puppies he can be mouthy and jumpy, so he should be monitored around young kids. He is very excited to meet his forever family!
