Meet Wren! This petite, doll face doggo packs a lot of personality in a small package. She is fiesty, over dramatic, hilarious, entertaining and sweet.

Wren is a very typical, 4 month old puppy. She spends her days practicing crate training, playing in the yard with her foster siblings and emptying out the toy box. She loves meal times and eats well in the same space as the other pups. She plays hard both with the other dogs and with toys. As the evening winds down, she loves to snuggle with the humans for some cuddles.

Wren has picked up training quickly and is very food motivated. She already knows sit and down and that is only after two training sessions.

Wren is a pretty friendly girl and just takes a few seconds to approach new friends, especially if they have treats. She loves to be held when it is convenient for her. If she would rather be playing she will wiggle to get down but she has slept cozily on my lap through several web meetings. She lived with teenagers in her foster home in Louisiana and played with younger kids (ages 2-3). She would bark to engage play with the kids and really loved to play chase with them. She does jump up/mouth when she gets excited so she would need supervision with really young kids until she learns those boundaries. She loves to get pets from the people, especially after a long play sesh.

She currently has three other pups in her foster home; two adult dogs and another puppy about her same age. She plays mostly with the other puppy but that puppy can be a bit overzealous. Wren still plays with her but is great at advocating for herself and telling the other pup when she has gone too far. Overall she is pretty submissive with the older/bigger dogs and she does read the cues pretty well when they give her a correction. She would do great in a home with or without other dogs.
Wren does have a kitty in her foster home that she mostly ignores. She had cats in her foster home in Louisiana that she played with. Based on my observations, I think she would do fine with a kitty in her forever home though we always recommend slow intros with supervision and correction when needed.

Wren gets most of her energy out playing with the other pups in her foster home. She loves wrestling and playing chase in the yard. She is a medium-high energy gal that likes long naps after play time. We are practicing leash skills and like a typical pup she still needs some work. She walks to the beat of her own drum (literally) on walks. She will stop to lay down or roll around. She finishes a walk that is about a mile, mostly walking behind me but it takes a lot of verbal encouragement to keep her going. She does well in the car (crated), though will whine a bit but is always up for an adventure, so he would be a great pup to take on adventures to parks, hiking trails or outdoor patios (once able to do so).
Wren isn't left alone too often these days but when we do leave, she needs to be crated as she is still very much a puppy. She will chew on cords, shoes, scraps on the floor, etc so will need to be closely monitored. She has been doing well with potty training on a schedule and settles into the crate when we leave after voicing her initial protest for about ten minutes. She does pretty well in the crate overnight as long as the crate is near enough to the bed. During work, she is crated in the same room as me as she gets fussy and needs correction. She will need continued practice with crate training.

We have loved having this sweet, spunky pup with us and know she will bring lots of love and puppy kisses with her to her forever home!
