Woodey recently moved from Alabama and is currently crashing with a foster family in WI. He has with 1 canine foster sister (8 year old lab mix) and 3 human foster sisters (ages 10, 13 and 15) to show him around and teach him the rules of the road. He wakes up early with his family and gets to spend quality time with them as they get ready for school: he eats, poops, takes a short walk, and still has time to explore the backyard. Then he goes into his kennel with some toys and a bone from approximately 8:30-4:30 each day. He is soooo excited when everyone gets home, he spends lots more time roaming the yard and playing after dinner, and eventually settles in with a bone to chew on before a final pee-break and bedtime in his kennel. Woodey is very good about using the bathroom outside, but he is a puppy, so there have been 1 or 2 mistakes. However he has kept his kennel clean at night and during the day! He currently gets most of his energy from playing with his foster sisters, canine and human, and running around the large backyard. He would do well in an apartment if he had enough walks since Woodey is very quiet. In fact the dogs next door bark at Woodey (because they want to play) but Woodey has no response. Maybe his foster canine sister does enough barking for both of them? or maybe he has not yet found his voice? Woodey would do well with another dog or alone. His demeanor is very gentle, no rough play with his human sisters and very respectful of his older canine sister.
