We are looking to find a good home for Tucker, he is a two-year-old, 65mlbs Aussiedoodle. A little bit about Tucker so you can get to know him better. He is a very intelligent and attentive dog. He has picked up on training well since he was a puppy. He has learned basic commands like sit, lay down, treat, food, paw, water, go bye-bye. He was crate trained as a puppy and now completely house trained. He will go to the back door when he needs to go out or come up to one of us and nudge us letting us know he has to go He is trained to an in-ground wired fencing system as we were not able to fence our yard. He sleeps out of the cage at night and only goes in his cage if we are gone during the day. Mom works from home, so Tucker is home with mom during the day. He loves to be close to his family and always follows you around the house. Tucker LOVES going “bye-bye” with mom. He loves going anywhere with you on car rides putting his head out of the window just enough to enjoy the wind. He’s used to grooming and has been taken to the groomer regularly approximately every 2-3 months. He also LOVES going to go to doggie daycare to see his “friends” and has been to overnight boarding a few times when we are out of town. He has been around family pets, dog parks, and others and has done well around other animals. He is very interested in other animals and loves to watch squirrels and chipmunks out the window at home. He loves to play outside, especially in the snow. Funny trait about him, he LOVES ice. He will come to the fridge at the sound of it opening and wait for a piece. He also loves “butt scratches”(as we call it) and belly rubs. He will lay around the house on his back, legs up just waiting for the belly rubs. He is high energy sometimes, and other times lays around all day looking like he’s bored. The Aussie herding trait in him is quite strong, he does exhibit the desire to herd/follow the kids wherever they go. We believe he may do better in a home without children, his natural instincts to herd can be powerful with children at times. We really want to find Tucker a good forever home that will love and take care of him. It means a lot to us to find the right fit for Tucker.
