Meet Tobias
Tobias is a gentle soul who’s just beginning to discover what it means to be a dog. After a rough start to life, he’s making up for lost time with quiet curiosity, kindness, and a surprisingly quick mind. He’s a bit skittish at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet nature really shines. This sweet boy deserves a home that can best support his needs.
Personality: Soft-hearted, observant, and kind. Tobias isn’t the life of the party—he’s more of the thoughtful friend who sits close and watches the world with you. New people and big noises make him nervous, but he warms up and adjusts as he learns quickly that both are safe. He is a fast learner and seems eager to please, especially when encouragement is calm and consistent. He loves to be outside, which is where his true personality shines.
Training & Routine: Tobias walks nicely on a leash and enjoys peaceful strolls. Once he gets to know you, he will become your favorite shadow around the house. He thrives with structure and patience and does best when changes are introduced in small, manageable increments.
Social Skills: Tobias does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companionship. Because of his past, he experiences confinement anxiety and has a significant fear of the crate, which can make being left alone challenging. He would benefit most from a home where someone is around during the day or where alone time can be introduced very gradually in a calm, supportive way.
