If you’re looking for the best cuddles you’ve ever had, Stormie is ready to provide. She is drawn to laps on couches like a magnet.
Stormie is a smart, playful, loving, biddable dog who strikes the perfect balance between being fun and chill at home. She loves to play with her foster sister, who is almost twice as big as she is. Stormie would tell you not to underestimate smaller dogs! She can hold her own in a wrestling match or a game of bitey face. I’m not sure she understands what a cat is exactly, but she has been polite and neutral toward the one she’s met.
She can be unsure of strangers at first. She is curious and kind to strangers who are appropriate and respect her boundaries, but doesn’t tolerate people who ignore her signals, push her too hard, or violate those boundaries. Kids are a little too erratic for her to live with. Stormie is an absolutely wonderful dog for someone who understands dog body language and can uphold her boundaries with guests. Once she knows she’s safe with you, she loves to be squished and loved on. But because of her past bad experiences with humans, she needs someone who can advocate for her and finally give her a chance at the life she deserves. Could that be you?
Like her namesake suggests, Stormie will go out in thunderstorms. We always have construction going on in the neighborhood and she doesn’t mind that either. She loves to chase after a ball or play tug while making little motor sounds. She’s so smart and learns new things super quickly.
This sweet, sensitive girl has had a rough go at things, but she knows the right person for her is out there somewhere.
