Scotty was found off a hiking trail, very skinny and scared and miles from the nearest town. We took him home and immediately started looking for owners. He and another dog he was with were so sweet, loving, and well-behaved we couldn’t believe they had been left intentionally, but no one ever claimed them.
Scotty came into a house with two loud, crazy kids and two tiny, loud, crazy dogs, and not only has he continued to be a loving and gentle presence in our house, he actually improved the behavior of our lap dogs. He barely barks and is very obedient and quick to quiet when told.
Scotty is great with kids and sleeps in our 10 year old’s room (and sometimes his bed after a scary movie night). He's playful, but his favorite thing to do is cuddle. After I was away for a month on a trip and came home, while the lap dogs went crazy, Scotty came up and just laid his head against my chest and let me hug him for the longest time.
We fell in love and cannot bear to take him to a shelter. However, our home is very small and we have no yard. We work and can’t give he or his brother regular walks or outdoor access. We want to do whatever we can to give them their best life, and that means finding their forever homes!
