Scott is a sweet boy with so much love to give. He starts his day with snuggles and a walk before he is crated for the work day. In the evening, he takes another walk, gets more snuggles, and plays with toys/chews. He could likely free roam eventually and loves sleeping in my bed at night. He is begrudgingly beginning to accept that his entire body doesn’t need to be on me.
Scott is doing great with his training. He goes to the door when he has to potty, and he has learned ‘lay down’ (prefers this to sitting), ‘come’, and ‘stay’. He is working on ‘leave it’ and would probably enjoy agility or nose-work classes. Everyone comments on how calm and well-mannered he is for being a young guy!
Scott is a medium-energy dog who equally loves walks and naps. He enjoys being outdoors and searching for critters in bushes or the snow. He rides well in the car, walks nicely on leash, rarely barks, is treat-motivated, and listens well.
Scott is friendly with other dogs and co-exists nicely with my dog. He would do great with canine siblings or would love the attention as an only dog. Cats are unknown.
He is friendly with all people including children and seeks out pets from strangers.
Scott is a fighter who survived distemper as a puppy (most don't), but this left him with a tremor (body twitches) and facial tic (mouth opens/closes a lot). It’s most prominent when he is anxious/excited or in a deep sleep. He doesn’t require any special care- it is just a quirk that doesn’t bother him.
Scott has a grade 2-3 heart murmur.
