Sable is the ultimate family dog! She loves everyone and everything. Kids, adults, other dogs, food, you name it, she probably loves it. She is so happy to be part of whatever is going on, so much so that she sometimes doesn't know how to give space. She doesn't always get the hint that a person or another dog is done playing. She likes to be literally right in the middle of everything, all the time!
Sable loves to be near people, loves walks, and loves playing fetch. We think she would love swimming but we haven't let her try that yet. She loves meeting other dogs while walking. She goes into her crate willingly, especially if there is a peanut butter sandwich waiting for her in there, and she sleeps all night in her crate without a peep. She is not a barker at all. She does well in her crate during the workday as well. She is an excellent car rider but has not yet figured out how to get into the car by herself, so we help her. She settles right down for the ride! She is a few pounds overweight so we are walking a lot and trying to limit treats. She does not chew on anything other than her toys and is just a sweet, sweet pup.
Sable's biggest task right now is learning to be fully housebroken. She keeps her crate clean and does potty outside, but has had a few accidents in the house as well. We continue to work on this, giving high praise and pets when she pees outside, and giving her lots of frequent potty breaks when we are home.
Sable would be a great addition to almost any home that is active and fun and playful! She is still a young pup with lots of energy and needs lots of interaction each day. If this describes your home, Sable would like to meet you!
