Rallo is the happiest boy who is so excited about life! He starts his day with a walk before he is crated for the workday. While initially upset when I leave, he settles into his crate within a few minutes if I talk to him through a baby monitor. In the evening, he takes another walk, snuggles, and plays with toys/chews. He sleeps in his crate overnight but would love to sleep in a bed. He is super food motivated and loves mealtimes.
Rallo is a higher-energy dog who requires at least an hour of daily exercise. He is so excited on walks that he often struggles to walk in a straight line and may suddenly pull if he sees a critter. He loves de-stuffing toys and entertains himself well.
Rallo is very friendly with other dogs. On walks, he quietly watches other dogs but when allowed to play, he does have a rougher play style and will bat and play growl. He is learning to read my dog’s cues but does not always understand when she is telling him no. He would do well with an active sibling who wants to play often. Ral would also love the attention of being an only dog. He lived with cats in his southern foster home and was very excited and focused on them (not aggressively but that attention may bother some cats).
Rallo loves people and seeks out pets from strangers. He loves kids and thinks they are so much fun, but he may excitedly knock over small children. Rallo is also smart and social; he enjoys training class, doggy daycare, and events. He loves to snuggle and melts right into you.
Rallo is working on learning manners such as not counter-surfing, not jumping up on people (he loves to give hugs), and staying in one place in the car. He does understand ‘no’ and is starting a training class soon. I also think he could be an agility star! He is beginning to go to the door when he has to go potty.
Rallo boarded for the weekend and received a glowing review: “Rallo is a perfect angel. He loves getting love from the handlers almost as much as he loves fetch and playing with his tennis balls. He is impossibly cute and one of the best dogs ever”.
Rallo is a brave and confident boy who is so loving and will make a wonderful companion to anyone seeking an active and playful dog!
